21.00  Live music with Swervy World.  One of those proverbial Hardest Working Men in Showbusiness, Mr Stephane Swervy and his band are rarely off the road, tho’ we can seldom get his and Turn The Tide Festival's diaries to coincide, so we grabbed this opportunity with enthusiasm. Currently playing ‘20s dance jazz - the Flappers & Gatsby stuff (that the electro-swing mob don’t manage to improve by nailing a beat to).

09.00 Tai Chi – With Anna Dashwood of the Pheonix Feather school - the perfect start to your day.

10.00 - Mod Roc Sculpture workshop.  Create your own beautiful and unique dragonfly sculpture (or other Marsh beast!) led by artists and sculptors Phillipa Dutton and Clarke Watling.

12.00 - Archey.  The ever-generous Doug Fuller (ex-England archer) and Ian Moore (Long box Champion) return with the ever-popular indoor archery range.  Bullseye!

12.30  - Didjeridu Workshop Sandy Lawson has worked with some of our best-known musicians - and he's here in Dymchurch to teach you some didjeridu!  Come and have a go!

14.00 - Jason Maverick - Contact Juggler & Street Performer Extraordinaire!  Winner of rotterdam International Street Theatre awards & presenter on Channel 5 TV

15.00 - The Dance of the Spiders with Betty Townsend School of DanceLast year's astonishing performance prompted an instant encore from a packed village hall - we can't wait to see what these amazing local dancers come up with this year!

16.00 - Come Dance with ME! (and your neighbours!)  An hour of informal and fun swing and jive lessons led by instructor Andrew Hall from Canterbury Jive - all age, all ability - lots of fun!

17.00 FREE Retro Buffet - provided by local volunteers and traders - top up your energy levels in time for the big band!

17.30  The Jive Aces.  The UK's top Swing & Jive band, runners-up in Britain's Got Talent and now headlining at our local village hall! Put your training into action and swing the afternoon away with your friends and neighbours.  Plus, please feel free to bring your own alcohol if you'd like a drink.

10.00 - 16.00   Art Exhibition 'Wildlife of the Romney Marsh'

Artists young and older have painted, photographed, modelled and sketched their interpretations of our very own wildlife - cast an appraising eye over their hard work.

The Ocean Inn

21.00  Dende.  A 9-piece fun fueled positive party band playing up-for-it Cumbia, Calypso and Afro Latin vibes. Deep melodic horns, 3 percussionists and heavy base lines support Ali’s beautiful vocals and accordion, with Edi Yoyo on guitar and dub siren. 10am   Andrew Ashton – pottery workshop led by local sculptor and potter.

12.00 - 16.00  Teardrop Circus.  Come and have a go at aerial hoop, trapeze or ribbon with this exciting Brighton-based circus troupe.  They'll be erecting their aerial rig in our very own village hall and running a splendid mix of performance, demonstration and drop-in workshops.  Plus two circus instructors will be on hand to train you in diabalo, juggling and other skills.


14.00 - 16.00  Yo! Street Zone Panna Football showThese exciting Thanet Street Football specialists bring their Panna Arena once again and challenge YOU!  All ages and abilities.  


16.00 The Winners of the 'Wildlife of the Romney Marsh art competition will be announced.  

This year three judges will be awarding a £50 prize to 3 deserving winners - could it be you??


16.30  Oyster OperaFounded to entertain anyone, anywhere - have-a-go street opera at its very best.. last year's performance was STUNNING.  Everyone wanted them back - so here they are!

St Peter & St Paul's Church

14.00  The Marsh Choir Carly Bryant leads our very own community choir - over 250 strong and growing in number, their performances have been leaving audiences spell-bound.

15.00  Sandy Lawson.  One of the UK's top didjeridu players, with a musical career that includes performances with Jimmy Page, Robert Plant and Groove Armada.  His solo act is a rare treat for your eyes and ears.

16.00  Estelle Mey.  French singer-songwriter with an alternative rock/pop edge.

17.00  Zimbaremabwe Immerse yourself in the arts and culture of Zimbabwe.  Expect a wonderfully unusual and uplifting experience of authentic Zimbabwean Mbira guitar music, as well as Roots & Dancehall style Reggae.  Unmissable.


19.30  The Finsbury Wood Trio with piano accompianement by Richard Black

  These outstanding musicians from the Honourable Artillery Company have played across Europe & the USA, including performances at Buckingham Palace, London's Wigmore Hall & leading England out at Twickenham.  A gorgeous and rich performance to close the festival.   Interval refreshments kindly provided by The Ship Inn, Dymchurch.
